VOLUNTARY HELP
CANADA'S POSITION PARLIAMENT TO MEET PREMIER ATTACKS HITLER (Received September 4, 12.40 p.m.) OTTAWA, September 3. The Premier, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, in a broadcast speech, made an attack on Herr Hitler for his "effort to dominate the world." "Despite efforts to preserve peace in Europe," added Mr. King, "the United Kingdom has become involved in War. All.l need say at the moment is that Canada, as a free nation of the British Commonwealth, -is bringing co-operation voluntarily. ' "We must save from destruction all that makes life worth lining and preserve for future generations all that has been bequeathed to us." The Premier said that Parliament would meet on Thursday. Meanwhile measures were being taken to defend Canada.
