RISE IN METAL PRICES
From private cablegrams received from London today it is learned that closing prices on the metal markets were as follows: — Copper, standard £45 7s 6d a ton, a rise of 22s 6d; electrolytic and copper wire and bars, £52. a rise of 35s;.spelter,, £14 16s 3d, a rise of ss; and lead, £16 6s 3d, a rise of 6s 3d.
