DEFENCE MEASURES
EXPANSION URGED BY LEAGUE
THREE BRIGADE GROUPS
Representations as to the urgent necessity for increasing the strength of New Zealand Defence Forces were made to the Hon. F. Jones (Minister of Defence) by the Dominion Council of the New Zealand Defence League yesterday. The deputation comprised Major-General Sir Andrew Russell (patron), the Hon. W, Perry (president). Mr. H. E. Barrowclough. Mrs. Dennistoun-Wood, Messrs. T. C. Gilkison (Dominion vice-presidents), W. H. Barnard, E. Reeves (Dominion organiser), and E. G. Hewitt (Dominion secretary).
The following resolutions which had been adopted at a meeting of the council held that day were presented to the Minister: —
