NOT FOR PERTH

At the conclusion of the New Zealand. Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting, Mr. J. E. August, part-owner of Frisco Boy, stated that the gelding would not go to Perth for the InterDominion Championships next February. His form at the Addington carnival was satisfactory without being impressive, but there is little doubt that he was unlucky to be beaten by King's Play in the mile and a quarter event on the second day. He was badly pocketed over the last half-mile, and it was only right on the post that he got clear, and his chances of overhauling the winner were then negligible. His showings were encouraging, and he may be the first horse to give his popular owners, the August brothers, a welcome change of luck.
