ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Eighty artisans and professional men J with a wide variety of callings arrived by the Rangitane from London today. Fifty are building tradesmen under contract to the Government, principally for State housing work. Thirty-one of these will remain in Auckland and the others will go to Wellington. - The remainder of the arrivals have come independently, atti'acted by reports of the- shortage of tradesmen j here. They include three German ! Jews —an electrician, an architect, and [ a farm manager. The others range l from a research expert to three Irish farm labourers. . I Also on the Rangitane were Captain E. G. Morris, Director of Naval Reserves, Wellington, who has returned from a visit to England, Lieutenant Michell, who is to join H.M.S. Philomel, and four H.M.S. Victory men on loan to the New Zealand Squadron.
