DAMAGES CASE CONTINUES
The hearing of evidence by the special jury called to assess damages for 300 acres of flax burnt at Mangaroa, when a fire lit by Sir Kenneth Douglas spread to an adjoining property, was continued in the Supreme Court tod£y before the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers). The plaintiffs are Percy Higginbottom and others. Mr. W. E. Leicester, with him Mr. T. P, McCarthy, is appearing for Ihe plaintiffs, and Mr. F. C. Spratt, with him Mr. W. P. Rollings, for the defendant.
