LATE ARRIVAL

Delayed by flood waters on the railway line between Shannon and Levin, the express which left Wellington at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon was 2 hours 55 minutes late in reaching Auckland. A special express to cope with the school holidays rush left Wellington at 3.42 on Saturday afternoon, but did not. reach Auckland till 10.18 this morning, 2 hours 27 minutes behind schedule. In both cases passengers were conveyed from Levin to Shannon by bus.
