Glasgow, with Mrs. Glasgow, gave a dance in their honour. The special guests were members of the Rugby football teams who are representing their respective high schools in a tournament with Scots College, and local schoolboys and girls were also present. Mrs. Glasgow was wearing a graceful hostess gown of silver lame and a corsage of cyclamen flowers. Her guests included Mr. Hoburn (headmaster of Dannevirke High School) and Mrs. Hoburn, Mr. J. N. Millard (headmaster of Hutt Valley High School) and Mrs. Millard. and members of the various school staffs. The gymnasium had been specially decorated by the Scots pupils with streamers combining all the colours of the visiting teams, balloons giving a further festive note. Greenery and school flags were arranged around the j walls. During the evening items were given by the Scots College Pipe Band.
