SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS.

A minor disturbance moved on to the Auckland Province on Sunday, and this morning covered the North Island. A weak anti-cyclone has formed to the east and conditions are disturbed over the Tasnian. Sea. Moderate northwesterlies to south-westerlies prevailed on Saturday, but yesterday's winds were more variable, with directions mainly between north and east. The weather was fair at first with a few isolated showers in Taranaki and central portions of the. Xorth Island. Cloud increased during Sunday, however,' and the Auckland Province had showery weather. Today skies are cloudy to overcast, and conditions unsettled with intermittent drizzling rain on the east coast of the Souh. Island, and occasional showers elsewhere. Temperatures have been moderate.
