ISSUE DEPENDS ON HITLER
WASHINGTON, August 10,
"Only a miracle can provide a peaceful solution of Europe's troubles," Count Jerzy Potocki, the Polish Ambassador, told the American Press on his return from Warsaw prior to visiting the Under-Secretary of State, Mr. Welles.
Count Potoeki loft no doubt that he considered that war or peace depends on the course Herr Hitler finally elects to pursue.
He felt that Herr Hitler might, against all outward appearances, decide on the summer as the last possible moment that Germany might start a war with any chance of success. The Ambassador expressed the opinion that the coalition against Germany will be overwhelmingly strong'by the spring.
