LONDON, August 9
Extra guards were stationed around the Houses of Parliament, No. 10 Downing Street, and other important buildings following revelations of the special branch at Scotland Yard of another I.R.A. threat to blow them up.
Two packages containing explosives were discovered at the Blackpool General Post Office when the collecting boxes were cleared.
The Glasgow High Court sentenced Michael James O'Hara and John Carson to ten years' penal servitude each under the Explosives Act.
