• The-slogan of "Eat More Fruitf^M preached by the fruit growers is practised by them. It is the custon^H among those organisations when thej^H '• meet in conference in Wellington tc^H ; have an adjournment for morning tea^H | But not so the New Zealand Fruib^H growers' Federation. The annual con-^H ference of this body was opened her^H [ today, and at 11 a.m. the delegate^B , began to "eat more fruit." Mr. J^| Parker, well known as a former Nev^H . Zealand Rugby representative, was ii^H [ charge of a whole case of nicel^^H wrapped pears. He ripped off the toi^H '. of the box with great skill and th^H pears were quickly distributed, th^^J box being emptied. There was nc^H doubt about these delegates practisin^^B what they preach.
