STATION ZLW
SECOND OF STEEL TOWERS
The second of the six new steel towers to carry the aerial system of the Government wireless station ZLW on tap of Tinakori Hill was to be hoisted into position at 3.15 this afternoon. As in the case of the first tower, which was placed in position about five weeks ago, the second tower was assembled on the site. The assembly of a third tower has been completed, but this tower has not yet received its final coat of paint..
The hoisting up of the first tower took 35 minutes. It was hinged on one side of the foundations and hoisted from the other with an electric winch and steel hawsers.
