ENTRY PROHIBITED
LONDON, August 3
The Home Secretary, Sir Samuel Hoare, has prohibited the I.R.A. chief, Scan Russell, and also one of his senior officers, from entering England. If they attempt to land they will be liable to arrest without warrant and five years' imprisonment.
A London message on July 26 stated that all ports were keeping watch for Scan Russell, who was reported to be en route to Europe from America with £120,000 which he collected from sympathisers. He was not travelling under his own name.
