The House of Representatives met at 10.30 a.m. today.
The Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Bill (Mr. H. Atmore) was introduced, read a first time, and, referred to the. Local Bills Committee.
The Auckland Transport Board Rating Exemption Bill (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason) was introduced and read a first time.
The Auckland City Empowering Bill (Mr. W. T. Anderton) was introduced, read a first time, and referred to the Local Bills Committee.
Mr. J", B. F. Cotterill (Government, Wanganui) gave notice of his intention to ask for leave to introduce the Wanganui Harbour Board District Empowering Bill, and another Government member raised a laugh by asking, "What are you going to do with the Port Bowen?" '
• The Budget debate was resumed by Mr. E. P. Meachen (Government, Marlborough).
