TOO MANY ENTRIES
MISS DIDRIKSON REJECTED

MELBOURNE, This Day.
1 Nearly 50 entries, including that of Miss Babe Didrikson, of America, have beeh rejected for the Australian open golf championship, which is to be played on the Royal Melbourne course on August 24, 25, and 26.
The match committee made a statement that "because of the large number of entries received (183) the match committee of the Royal Melbourne Club decided to reject all entrants with handicaps of more than 2 from standard scratch or 5 from par. The entries accepted total 135."
