TENNIS DOUBLES MATCH
(Received August 3, 2.30 p.m.) ' NEW YORK, August 2. At the Southampton lawn tennis tournament the comparatively unknown Chicago players Bickel and Wachman eliminated Wood and Hunt, the top seeded pair in the doubles, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Quist and Crawford did not participate in the tournament, having failed to receive permission. Instead, they visited Philadelphia and inspected the courts of the Merlon Cricket Club, where the Davis Cup challenge round is to be played.
