ATTENTION TO DUTY
NEWSPAPER'S TRIBUTE
(By Telegraph)
(Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. The "Otago Daily Times" in an editorial states:—
"The people of New Zealand, AA'hatever their opinions towards bMr. Savage's policies, would not have approved his subjecting himself to the ordeal of presenting the Budget had they been aware of the state of his health. He has, however, during his three and a half years in office, counted no burden too great and no demand upon his time too trivial or too taxing in the discharge of the duties of his office. The community will be as one in expressing sympathy with him in his illness, and in entertaining the hope that the operation will haA^e the effect of restoring him speedily to complete health."
