FLIGHT RECORD CLAIMED

ROME, August 2,
It is claimed that a three-engined air force machine has established a world record for a long-distance closed-circuit flight.
The machine covered 8036 miles in 57hr lmin 52sec at an average speed of 148J miles an hour. It flew in a triangle the sides of which were 621 miles long. The Japanese held the previous record of 7240 miles.
