CHILD REFUGEES
NO EVACUATION TO CANADA

When his attention Avas called in the House of Commons today to a suggestion that in the event of Avar temporary settlement might be found in Canada for people evacuated from danger areas, such as infirm people and children, the Dominions Secretary, Sir Thomas Inskip, said he feared that the difficulties in the 'way of any such scheme would be insuperable.
A recent report indicated that the Canadian authorities Avere considering the possibilities of aiding the evacuation of children from the United Kingdom in a Avar emergency.
An official denial is given in London to a report that an armed band, 400 strong, entered Transjordan on Sunday night, states a United Press Association message
