FIRST FLIGHT ON SATURDAY (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 1. The Caribou, one of the flying-boats specially built for the North Atlantic air-mail service, will mak*. the first flight to Botwood (Newfoundland), Moetreal. and New York on Saturday. The Cabot, which is not yet quite ready for service, will carry mails across tha North Atlantic on the following Saturday. The weekly service will be continued till the end of September. Two Harrow bombers left for Foynes (Ireland) yesterday. They have been converted into tankers, and will refuel the North Atlantic flying-boats i 0 midair. Two other tankers are already at Botwood, where the flying-boats will be refuelled for their return journeys.
