AMATEUR BILLIARDS
The second round of the annual Wellington billiards championship was continued last night. Results were as follows: —P. Hayvice (Jewish Social Club) beat J. F. Lock (Petone Working Men's Club), 300-295. The best breaks were: Hayvice, 40 and 29; Lock, 37, 31, 32, and 30.
L. H. Blackaby (Windsor) beat B. Franks (Phoenix), 300-156. The best breaks were: Blackaby, 26. 29, 22, and 21; Franks, 28. - Tonight, at 7, S. Moses (G.P.O. Pastimes) will meet M. Corn (Jewish). At 8 o'clock S. M. G. Simpson (G.P.O. Social and Literary) will meet L. Moffatt (St. George). - Next Thursday night at' the Federal Club, a team of selected players from Wellington clubs will-meet the Federal Club in a special challenge match. Following this, the Wellington Billiards Association will present trophies, including the Hart Cup, to the winners of the recently-concluded inter-club teams championship. The combined team is as follows:—S. Moses (G.P.O. Pastimes). R. Stuart .(Petone Working Men's Club), S. M. G. Simnson (G.P.O. Social and Literary). S. Saulbrey (G.P.O. Pastimes). W.. J. McMillan (V.M.C.A.) M. Corn (Jewish).
