Mr. J. C. Thompson, organist at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Hawera, has been appointed organist and choirmaster at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. John Emmett, who held the positions of choirmaster and organist, have left for Palmerston.North, where they are taking, up the same duties at St. Andrew's.

-.'.-. Mr. Alec. Crawford has been elected chairman of the Wanganui Museum Board of Trustees. Mr. Hope Gibbons, who had been chairman sincei.l933, did not seek re-election. Mr. J. Todd, of Makirikiri, has been made a life member, in recognition of his generosity in allowing the trustees to work the moa bone deposit on-his property. ' , Mr. A.- E. G. Lyttle has been reelected chairman of the Canterbury Chapter, of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries, and Mr. C. G. Gray was elected vice-chairman.

Mr. W. L. Mills, field superintendent of the Sudan United Mission, and Mrs. Mills, who have been spending a short furlough with relatives at Takapuna, will leave Auckland by the Monterey tomorrow on their •way back to Abri, in the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Mr. H. H. Watkins, engineer and secretary of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board, arrived today by train.

Mr. E. L. Rutledge, general manager of 20th Century-Fox Film Corporation (N.Z.), Ltd:, who left Wellington for the north by the Limited' express last night, is expected to return on Tuesday/

Mr. G. M. Dillon, general manager in New Zealand for Warner Brothers Pictures, left Wellington for the north hy the Limited express last night. He will return to Wellington on Monday.

Mr. B. Vinsen, New Zealand manager for Columbia Pictures Pty., Ltd., of Australasia, and Mr. Cecil MaSOh, general manager for Australia and New Zealand, left for Auckland last night hy the Limited express.

Mr. H. B. Riggs, general managfer for New Zealand of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Ltd.* left' for Auckland last night to meet Mr. Frank Goldberg, who is- a through passenger to Australia by the Mariposa, Avhich will call at Auckland on Friday.

Mr. R. B. Ashe, manager for New Zealand of the Colonial Mutual Life Assurance Society, Limited, returned from an inspection of the society's South Island establishments yesterday.

Mr. W7 A. Hislop, general manager in NeAV Zealand for Universal ..Pictures Pty., Ltd., accompanied by Messrs. Ross Meikle (publicity), P. B. Wakefordi and C. P. Tyack (salesmen), wjll leave for Sydney by the Wanganella tonight to attend the company's conference there next week.
