ULSTER'S BONAPARTE
Lord Craigavon is losing one of his "key men" by the retirement of Mr. Bonaparte Wise, permanent head of the Northern Ireland Ministry of Education, says the "Daily Telegraph." Some months ago Lord Craigavon persuaded him to remain on, but his health now makes that impossible. Mr. Wise is quiet and unobtrusive—in that being unlike his great-great-uncle, after whom he is called. But he has shown something of the Napoleonic qualities of vision and good administration in his creation of the educational system in the Six Counties. His relationship to the Emperor arises through the marriage of his grandfather, Sir Thomas Wise, to one of Lucien Bonaparte's daughters. Mr. Wise is a Roman Catholic—another proof of the broadmindedness in religious matters of the Ulster Government,
