CARTER OBSERVATORY
The Carter Observatory, formerly known as the Wellington- City Observatory, in the Botanical Gardens, Kelburn, will, from tonight, if conditions permit, till August 5, be open to visitors every fine night from 8. o'clock. The nine-inch telescope will be available to allow visitors to view the planet Mars as well as other objects of interest. During the period the moon will also be examined when opportunity rises.
