UPPER HUTT COUNCIL
DEPUTY MAYOR ELECTED
Councillor C. A. Rendle was elected Deputy Mayor at s recent meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council. The office was previously held by the present Mayor, Mr. J. Blewman.
Committees of the council are now as. follows: —Works, Messrs. C. A.
Rendle (chair), J. Purvis, H. C. Polson, and Lancaster; public services. Messrs. W. Greig (chair), Blewman Purvis, and Gray; fire prevention. Messrs. Blewman (chair), Richardson. Gray, and Lancaster; building bylaws, Messrs. Purvis (chair). Lancaster. Greig, and Richardson; housing. Messrs. Blewman (chair), Gray. Rendle, and Greig; finance, Messrs. Blewman (chair), Rendle, Purvis, and Richardson.
