Rangitikei Hunt acceptances are due tomorrow evening. S Jack Tar's next race is likely to be j the Jellicoe Handicap at the Pakuranga Hunt Meeting next month. Ridden by A. Broughton carried his season's total on the jockey's list to 76 with a further success at Hastings last Saturday, giving him a lead of 12. The totalisator turnover at the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club's Meeting last Saturday was £11.702 10s, compared with £8553 10s last year, an increase of £3149. Beauly has been transferred to D. Prosser's care at Porirua. A. Goodman has received an unraced two-year-old filly named Colsan Maid, a chestnut daughter of Colossus and the Merry Moment mare Sanguinaria, and thus a full-sister to Quilp and Colossian. Colsan Maid was recently bought by Mr. C. C. Richards, of Wellington. The former Takanini-trained jumper High Quality is now a member of K. S. Bagby's stable at Ellerslie. High Quality is a winner over hurdles and, although he has not raced this season, he looks well forward. The latest addition to the ranks of hurdlers at Ellerslie is Cintrace. who recently joined W. F. Fergus's stable. I Cintrace was given his first lesson over the pony hurdles during the week and he gave a very encouraging showing. According to a southern report, Wexford Bridge is making a very slow recovery from the soreness that has i troubled him since the Dunedin Meeting last month. He may not be able Ito race again until next winter. ! The Riccarton jockey C. T. Wilson was in good form at Waimate last Saturday. He had rides in the first ; three fiat races on the programme and he was on the winner each timeSunny Dawn, Prince Flaneur, and Lady | Middleham. He did not have a mount in the final event.
