EXPLOSION IN KENTUCKY
(Received July 17, 10.30 a.m.)
PROVIDENCE (Kentucky), July 16.
That all the 28 miners who were entombed in a coal mine following a terrific explosion are dead is the opinion of rescue workers who have toiled for forty hours to reach the scene of the blast. Up to the present time nineteen bodies have been recovered. Rescue efforts will continue. The force of the explosion smashed motox-s and equipment and tossed a two-ton locomotive 200 feet.
