Tv an evenly-contested forward game, the Nelson Rugby representatives beat, Marlborough by S points to fi. Both sets of backs were poor. For Marlborough Bonson scored a try ami Jackson kicked a penalty goal. For Nelson
McLean kicked a penalty goal and Todd scored a try after the only impressive back movement in the game, Morris converting it.
