ISLAND BAY NOTES
The Island Bay senior reserve team is improving steadily and the last two games have given a good indication of the team's standard. One playel' in particular is worthy of mention, and that is P. Boyes, at centre-half, who is proving an excellent and versatile player in both defence and attack. Other good exhibitions were given by P. Heel and A. Stamp. Unfortunately the junior team has not been so successful, and it is apparently due to lack of co-operation between the .halves and forwards,* and' the players would be well advised to remedy this fault by better positional play and cleaner and unhurried hitting. D. Rosavear, the goal-keeper, who1 is playing splendidly, and W, Wilshire and G. Moston are also right on form.
