Mrs. H. E. H. Aplin and Miss Ngaire Aplin, Wellington, who have, been spending the last two months at Glenalvon. Auckland, have returned home. ' ' Mrs. Joseph,. Fendalton, arrived at Wellington today, to visit her daughter, Mrs. Paul Shelley. Mr. and Mrs. C. Owen Trovfrison, Christehurch, who have been staying in Wellington, as the-guests of Mrs. A. Scoullar, Lyall Bay, left this week by the Maunganui from Auckland en route to England. They expect ■■ to remain abroad for some time.' ; Miss I. M. Jamieson, who left Christchurch for England fifteen months ago, left Greenock by the Duchess of Atholl on last Friday week on her way back . to New Zealand, via Toronto and Vancouver. She intends to live near Hamilton. During . her x stay in England and Scotland, Miss Jamiespn represented New Zealand at several conferences, including that of the Associated Country Women of the World. Miss Mac Donald, Wellington, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. H. P. Newton, Napier. Miss Diedre Williams,. Auckland, will leave next Thursday for Wellington. Her marriage to Mr. John Desmond Helmore, only son of Mrs. Helmore and the late Mr. W. D. Helmore, of Christchurch, will take place at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral on July 25. Miss Ina Callaghan, of 'Auckland, who has been making a holiday trip to Australia returned from Sydney by the Awatea on Monday. . V Miss Kathleen Cook, Plunket Street, Kelburn, returned to Wellington yestterday morning from Auckland, having arrived by the Tasman after a holiday in the Malay States. ■ Mrs. Noel Airey, Remuera^ Auckland, and Miss Tweet Macindoe, Remuera, wil leave; on Tuesday by the Rangitiki for Wellington. There they will join the Rangitata and will continue their holiday down the .coast of the South Island. They, will return to Auckland by the; same ship early in August. Mrs. J. D. McMillan, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Arthur Lesse; Epsom, Auckland. Mrs. F. W. Voqseler's services to the Tararua Tramping Club, "of which she wa,s a foundation member, were recognised at the annual meeting last night by her election as a, life member. ' Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Granville, Eltham, who have been visiting Wellington, have returned to Auckland. Mrs. W, F. Field and Mrs. E. B.
