Jamieson, who left Christchurch for England fifteen months ago, left Greenock by the Duchess of Atholl on last Friday week on her way back . to New Zealand, via Toronto and Vancouver. Her marriage to Mr. John Desmond Helmore, only son of Mrs. Helmore and the late Mr. W. D. Helmore, of Christchurch, will take place at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral on July 25. Miss Ina Callaghan, of 'Auckland, who has been making a holiday trip to Australia returned from Sydney by the Awatea on Monday. . V Miss Kathleen Cook, Plunket Street, Kelburn, returned to Wellington yestterday morning from Auckland, having arrived by the Tasman after a holiday in the Malay States. ■ Mrs. Noel Airey, Remuera^ Auckland, and Miss Tweet Macindoe, Remuera, wil leave; on Tuesday by the Rangitiki for Wellington. There they will join the Rangitata and will continue their holiday down the .coast of the South Island. They, will return to Auckland by the; same ship early in August. Mrs. J. D. McMillan, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Arthur Lesse; Epsom, Auckland. Mrs. F. W. Voqseler's services to the Tararua Tramping Club, "of which she wa,s a foundation member, were recognised at the annual meeting last night by her election as a, life member.
