(By 'IV le?:n»pi»,--I'res* Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, July 14

The demand from the North Island for potatoes is strong, and prices have firmed further since the beginning of the week. Today's quotations to farmers were £13 to £14 a ton, according to delivery and station. Locally-grown onions are not yet entirely absorbed, and high prices are still being paid. Yesterday's quotation to growers was £16 a ton.
