NIGHT FLYING

RONGOTAI AIRPORT

In accordance with regulations governing aero club instructors. FlightLieutenant I. E. Rawnsley and FlyingOfficer R. Morphy, the instructor and assistant-instructor to the Wellington Aero Club respectively, engaged in night flying in the club's Tiger Moth machine from 6.45 p.m. until 9 p.m. yesterday. The machine was specially fitted with navigation lights, and the flights accomplished were successful.

There will be further night flights on July 19, when Mr. C. Merrington will pilot an aeroplane as part of the cours* *or his B pilot's certificate.
