LECTURE ON MARS.
At the end of next week the planet Mars will be closer to the earth than it has been since 1924, and it will not come so close again until 1956. Great interest attaches to this close approach as it will give astronomers an opportunity of close examination of the surface of the planet, the markings on which provide one of the great unsolved problems of astronomy. The, whole subject of the planet will be dealt with in a lecture at tho Town Hall Concert .Chamber,, next Tuesday night, by the Directoi; of the. C«fe2 Observatory. ..'... _' .
