WOOL DEMAND
GOVERNMENT PURCHASES

LONDON, July 5
The British Government's purchase of 3,000,0001b of wool last month is now followed by a request from the Wool Federation to topmakers to submit immediate offers of oil-combed tops, of the qualities 465-545, made from Dominion or South American wool.
The quantity is not indicated, but it is expected that quotations will exceed those ruling since the last order
