A temporary respite characterises the Danzig situation, although militarisation continues.
Poland's next move to meet the German challenge was discussed at a series of important conferences today. The Polish President, M. Moscicki, conferred with Marshal SmiglyRydz. Foreign Minister, the Minister of War, and the Minister of Finance. They discussed a report from the Polish Ambassador in London.
A Polish battery fired a warning shot when a German bomber flew over the vilage of Orlowo, midway between Danzig and Gdynia. The plane returned to Danzig.
A number of Germans engaged on the fortifications at Bishop's Hill, behind Danzig, have been dismissed because of indiscreet remarks about their work
The Danzig "Vorposten" reports that Polish soldiers and labourers are digging trenches in the north-west corner of the city.
All religious services in the Polish language have been suppressed in German Silesia.
