GREEN PEAS FROM THE NILE
For the first time fresh green peas from the delta of the Nile were on sale at Covent Gfarden, London, recently. Two hundredweights of the peas were brought by Imperial Airways to demonstrate that fresh garden produce from the Empire is available in winter to British housewlve*.
