OBITUARY
MR. ALAN D. CARSON
The late Mr. Alan David Carson, whose death took place suddenly at Kelburn yesterday, was 52 years of age. He was born in Melbourne, and came over to New.Zealand in 1920 as manager for Messrs. Richardson, Orr,
and Co., general manufacturers' agents and importers, Wellington. In 1926 he took over the business under the name of Alan D. Carson and Company. He served with the Australian Expeditionary Force on Gallipoli, and spent a lengthy period in hospital at Malta and in Egypt. He was very popular in Wellington business circles, and was a well-known member of the Rotary Club and Commercial Travellers' Club, the New Zealand Club, and of the Miramar Golf Club. In 1921 he married Miss,D. Meek, daughter of the late Mr. W. L. Meek, of Wellington. He is survived by his wife and son and daughter.
