UNION BANK
INTERIM DIVIDEND. The inspector of the Union Bank of Australia Ltd. has received a cable message from London, stating that the board of directors has declared an interim dividend for the year ending August 31, 1939, of 3s a share, being at the rate of 3 per cent., less United Kingdom income tax at 3s 8d in the £ (the standard rate of ss. 6d in the £, less Dominion relief of Is lOd in the £■). The dividend is payable on July 26 at the current rate of exchange for demand drafts on London at the date of the dividend warrants. Transfer books were closed from July 1 to 7, both days inclusive.
