BADMINTON
ENGLISH TEAM'S VISIT
An English badminton team, representative of the strength of the country, will tour New Zealand in 1940. News of the visit was received this week by the New Zealand Federation, which [has had considerable correspondence [ with the English Association on the proposal. An Australian team will also tour New Zealand during 1940 and present intentions are for a three-cornered international Test to take place in this country, probably in Wellington. The English team, the first, to make an official overseas visit, will arrive at Wellington on August 7 and depart for i Canada on September 3, from Auckland. Both the Australian and English teams will take part at the national championships, which will be held at Wellington during August.
