PERSONAL NOTES

Mrs. J. A. Redpath, Fendalton, is a Christchurch visitor to Wellington, and is staying with her daughter, Mrs. \ Walter Norwood. Miss Nellie Coad, Wellington, is now in England to represent the New Zealand centre of the P.E.N. at the international congress of the P.E.N. clubs in New York, states an exchange. Miss Coad, who has written historical works of New Zealand, is the descendant of an early Tararfaki pioneering family. Mr. and Mrs. Graham Robinson, Hinemoa Flats, Hawkestone Street, i have returned from a visit to Christchurch. Mrs. T. F. Hutchinson and Miss Barry, Wadestown, are the guests of Mrs. A. M. Spilman, Palmerston North. Mrs. Neil Galbraith, Wellington, and Mr. Lan Galbraith will leave by aeroplane for Auckland on Monday. Mrs. H. Treseder, Christchurch, who returned to Auckland by the Matua from a trip to the Islands, arrived at Wellington this morning. Mrs. J. N. Neale and Miss Joy Neale have returned to Wellington from an extended holiday trip to R'arotonga. Miss Jean Wilson, Epsom, will leave Auckland on Tuesday for Wellington to stay for several weeks. Miss H. Nottingham arrived at Wellington from the south this morning. Mrs. A. McGregor Grant, Remuera, will arrive at Wellington on Monday from the north for a short visit. ; Mrs. Harold Black, with her small daughter, arrived from Sydney last week after spending several months with her mother, Mrs. Duffy, Manly. Mrs. W. J. A. McGregor, Mount Clinton, Southland, is visiting her.daugh-, ter, Mrs. A. Tennent, Hataitai, and will later stay with her other daughter, Mrs. S. J. Sawell, Lower Hutt. Mrs. F. J. Dillon, Delhi, is also Mrs. Tennent's guest. I Mrs. B. Lynneberg, Ngaio, and Mrs. I D. McKenzie, Lower Hutt, have re-j turned from a visit to Palmerston North. Mrs. J. Whitburne, Bairnsdale, Vie-! toria, is visiting New Zealand and is at present the guest of her sister, Mrs. P. Nielsen, Highland Park.
