WEDDING AT TAKAPAU

ST. CUAIR JNGLIS—WHITE' Many fnends from all parts motored to Takapau on Thursday to be present at the wedding of Miss Susan White and Mr. Rupert St. Clair Inglis. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs- Hugh White, of "Sherwood," Takapau, and her family are old settlers, very well known in the district The bridegroom is the elder son \of Mrs. St. Clair Inglis and the late Mr. St. Clair Inglis, now of Waipukurau. The wedding was solemnised at St Mark's Church, Takapau, by Dean Brocklehurst, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Blathwayt. 'The bride was given away,by: her father. She wore a lovely frock of pale gold brocaded satin with long veil of old Brussels lace. Her cousin. Miss Ruth White (Eketahuna),/ was bridesmaid. Her frock was of brown tulle over an underdress of gold taffeta, the skirt being cut very full; Mr. Larry White, brother of v, the " bride, was best man, and the ushers were Mr. Pat Monckton, Mr. Dennis • Herrick, *nd Mr. N. Wilder. ; ' , After the service a reception was held at "Sherwood." Mr. and Mrs, White and Mrs. St. Clair Inglis' received the guests. . Mrs. White wore a frock of beige wool under a brown, tailored coat. Her hat was brown with an ostrich feather mount in beige a.nd brown. Mrs. St. Clair Inglis wore a black model frock relieved with white and a black hat. The reception was a very gay one. The toast of the bride's parents was proposed by Mr. Cecil Wilson, a family friend. ■•' ■ On leaving for the wedding trip Mrs. R. St.1 Clair Inelis wore an attractive frock of grey-blue wool with hat of the same colour.
