FLYING-BOAT BASES

GUBA'S SURVEY FLIGHT

(Received June 16, 1.35 p.m.) DIEGO GARCIA, June 15. A survey of the lagoon showed it to be of great value as a flying-boat base. Diego Garcia also has an area suitable for an aerodrome. As the first two Indian Ocean island bases which h*>ve already been surveyed are very suitable for the establishment of flying-boat bases it now only remains to make a flight of inspection of the Seychelles Islands. The Guba leaves at midnight tomorrow foi Mahe.
