AERO CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Wellington Aero Club was held last evening, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop presiding. The -ollowing officers were elected unopposed:—Patron, Mr. D. A. Ewen; president, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop; vicepresidents, Messrs. J. Stellin, R. T. | Cadwallader, A. A. Whitelaw; treasurer, Mr. G. C. Martin; committee, (Messrs. R. I. M. Sutherland, K. W. B. j Anderson, and J. S. Nelson. Trophies for the year ended March 31, 1939, were presented as follows: — Waite trophy (forced landings), R. F. Smillie; Lloyd Cup (landings), R. F. Smillie; Stellin Cup (aerobatics), J. A.j Kirkcaldie; Armstrong trophy (most improved "A" pilot),. J. Elliott; Gibson Cup (best aggregate in year's Competitions), R. F. Smillie; Ewen Cup (best trainee for period), L. R. Howell. ■
