SERIOUSLY HURT
COLLISION WITH VAN
- (By Telegraph—Press,; Association.). TE KUITI, This Day. A motor-cyclist, William Ronald Levet, single, aged 26, cook and baker, of Auckland, is lying in a critical condition in the Te Kuiti Hospital as -■< result of a collision at Tangitu Junction,.. 29 miles south of Te Kuiti, yesterday. The motor-cycle struck a van a glancing blow, and Levet's head struck a projecting door hinge, fracturing his skull. A pillion-rider, Frederick John Dempsey, of Auckland, escaped with shock. The driver of the van was Carl, Herbert Schmidt, oj Auckland. Captain H. M. Rushworth, formerly member of Parliament for Bay of Islands, was-a witness of the accident, and rendered assistance.
