Rear-Admiral Darlan has been appointed Admiral of France, with full command of the navy, and General Vuillemin Air Marshal.

Cabinet approved decrees bringing Le Havre and Bordeaux under military control in the event of emergency, and providing for stricter control of the mercantile marine.
