FALL OF 80 FEET

THREE OCCUPANTS HURT

OPOTIKI, This Day,

While returning from the opening of the new coast bridge about 6 o'clock last night a car, when negotiating a sharp Bend on the Maraenui Hill; left the road and dropped 80 feet. the three occupants were injured. They are Messrs. W. A. Joult, Opotiki, county chairman; W. Upton, county engineer; and J., TV Merry, county clerk. .

Ambulance stretchers were obtained from a Public Works camp and the men were brought to hospital suffering from concussion; cuts, and abrasions.
