YEARLY CONFERENCE
The annual conference of the New Zealand Workers' tJniori,; the largest industrial organisation in the .Dominion, with a membership: df:; more; than 30,000, will be held in the, Trade::!" Hall, Wellirigton, beginning on June 27.- It is expected that the coherence willt be opehed by the Minister., of" . Public Works (the Hon. R. Semple). :'
Only orie ballot was conducted for the official positions, the national secretary (Mr. A. Cook) being returned by a large majority dyer Mr. A: T. De Cleene (Palmerston North), Mi-,. R. Eddy (Wellington) .was returned unopposed as national president and Mr. C. E. Baldwin (Christchurch) was returned unopposed as vice-president.

Several hundred remits; wiil be considered by the conference. In: adaitiqn, more than 1000 remits have been received coltlcerriirig agreements: -for Public Works employees which: have now expired, arid on which negotiations are at present iri progress with the Government.
