Present spot Quotations are: Mutton, fine 235, good "20s. fair 16s to 16s Sd; beef, fine none, good 17s, fair 15s Cd to 16.5; mixed, good 17s, fair 15s 6d to 16s, gut 13s 6d to 15s; mutton, dark lo dull 14s 6d to 16s; beef, dark to dull, 13s 6d to 15s.

Hemp.—Manila, market easier. X grade, May-July shipment, sold £16 ss. Closing sellers £16 10s. Sisal, market quiet. Value, June-August shipment, £16 10s to £16 12s 6d.

Fruit. —Port Townsville, London, discharged in Rood condition. Port Brisbane, Dunkirk, poor condition. Apples: Market is about the same. Pears: Market weak. The following are the market values of sound conditioned fruit of the varieties mentioned, the range of prices generally representing the difference between the several grades and/or counts, variable conditioned fruit of similar varieties proportionately less in value: — Apples: Granny Smith 11s to 13s, Jonathan.
