AUSTRALIAN DECLINE
The overseas trade of Australia for the ten months ended April 30 resulted in a favourable visible balance of £9.596,000, compared with one of £11,897.000 for the corresponding period of 1937-33, the figures being in sterling. The following table, compiled from a return furnished by the Commonwealth Statistician, Dr. Roland Wilson, summarises movements in trade for ten months of 1937-38 and 1938----39:— Ten Months.
